Deadliest Catch-up
After hearing that Capt. Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie suffers a pulmonary aneurysm this season, it's obvious from the first episode why. His son, Josh racked up over $800 on a flat screen TV and he's drinking tons of Redbull and smoking like a chimney. Not to mention that the crab season was off to a slow start. Sig Hanson almost lost his mind after having to wait for repairs on the Northwestern and almost left port without his new Greenhorn. It was cool to learn about "brown crab" fishing and the difference between "brown" and "red" crab. And the practical joke of the Time Bandit on the Cornelia Marie was great. Putting a wrecked truck in the water makes the 'ol tack-on-the-chair seem silly. Just another day at the office.
From the book: Phil Harris's son Josh talks about the added stress of the camera crew. They take up more space and eat more food. He says about the camera guys "you can tell they are from California, they don't realize they have to clean-up after themselves" After they left their dishes on the table, again, Josh put it in their bunks. I think they got the message.
