Deadliest Catch-up
I feel so bad for Capt. Phil Harris. He's having the worst season and it's just going to get worse. In an attempt to turn the bad luck arround, his son Josh and another deckhand shaved their heads into mohawks. Althought Josh still looked cute as hell, it didn't work. The most disturbing part of last nights episode was when the greenhorn pierced his injurerd fingernail to release the pressure. Gross!
From the Book: There is a 100 percent injury rate for crab fisherman, from broken bones to knife cuts. The book tells the story of a guy named Arthur who lopped his finger off in a power block, and a seagull swooped down and started to make off with it. Somehow he got it back from the seagull and instead of putting it on ice, he put it on salt. When he took it to the doctor to put it back on, of course he couldn't because it was all dried up-salt cured. So, Arthur put it on a gold chain and wears it on his neck to this day.

This isn't as engaging as "Deadliest Catch", but you need to check out "Fishing with John" by director Jim Jarmusch. Ask Johnny B. about it. It was a good show back in its day. Here's a link to the DVD: http://www.amazon.com/Fishing-John-Collection-Willem-Dafoe/dp/0780022076/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1209775393&sr=8-1
